Croatia trip
Talking to one another instead of about one another - interreligious dialogue between church and mosque We live in a very polarized world in which racism, fundamentalism and controversy are on the rise. All over the world there are very obvious examples of the separation of people of different cultural heritage, beliefs, religion and social status.
Islamic Holidays
With us in Islam there are two main festivals:
❖ the festival of breaking the fast (ʿĪd al-fitr)
❖ the festival of sacrifice (ʿĪd al-Adhā)
The ʿĪd al-fitr (الفطر عيد (is a festival that takes place at the end of the month of fasting

Poland trip
From October 15, 2017 to October 22, 2017, 31 young people aged 16-18 and several adults, including educators and board members from Muslim and Christian communities, traveled to Auschwitz and Krakow. The project was a cooperation project between the SCHORSCH, the Masjid Rahma (Mosque of Mercy), the Centrum Mosque, the African Christian Church and the Evangelical Lutheran parish of St. Georg-Borgfelde.
Youth forum
The group has been active in the district for a long time: At the beginning, in 2015, girls and boys from African, European, Muslim and Christian families drove to Amsterdam. They deal with issues such as refugees, discrimination and religious extremism. When there is a lot of serious work, the mood is good and energetic. Their trip to Poland, Auschwitz and Rostock, was a big step together for everyone involved.
Anti racism workshop
One of the topics that is currently most discussed in public discourse is racism. Coexistence in Germany is also strongly influenced by it. Statistics show that the number of verbal and physical attacks caused by racism is increasing. But how is it dealt with? How can you counter this? And most importantly, how do the youngsters feel about it? We asked ourselves these questions and decided to organize a workshop on the subject of anti-racism.
Ramadan Pavilion
On the first weekend of the fasting month of RAMADAN, a tent pavilion will be set up at the Spadenteich. Under the patronage of the Muhajirin Mosque - Der Islamische Bund eV, a three-day program with culinary, cultural and socio-political contributions is being organized in cooperation with various associations. Visitors have the opportunity to meet Muslims through a stage program, short lectures and panel discussions, information tents, exhibitions and guided tours, to exchange ideas and to broaden their knowledge of Islam.
Excursion in Berlin
This time the girls' group went to our capital Berlin. The metropolis is not only known for its significant history, but also for its wide range of culture and sights such as the Brandenburg Gate, the Holocaust Memorial and the TV tower. So our girls couldn’t miss the opportunity to pay a visit to this city, even if only for one day.
Sylt trip
Travel educates and enables valuable social and individual experiences. Being part of the community counteracts isolation, intercultural contacts broaden the horizon of knowledge and sharpen the view of prejudices and injustices towards fellow human beings.
Recitation competitions
As part of the annual international symposium of West African mosques in Europe (Sautus Sunnah Europe), lectures are given by external speakers. This takes place every year in a European city. In the context of this event, recitation competitions were recently held in Brussels. There are also competitions in the Shura, in which we participate.
Townhall Debate
Children, young people and adults have an urgent need for knowledge and exchange about the difficult terms that are currently being discussed everywhere about interpretations of Islam. We will have speakers from various institutions as guests who will enable us to look at the topic from different angles.
District festivals
We participate in the district festival on Klaus-Groth-Straße and the district festival organized by Evangelical Lutheran parish of St. Georg-Borgefelde and the residents' association of St. Georg on Hansaplatz. In addition to a varied stage program, coffee, cake and German, African, Syrian, Turkish dishes, children's entertainment and street soccer facilities, the organizers provided entertainment for older citizens for the first time this year with a “market day of old delights”.
Namibia workshop
Our goal is to create visibility for the Namibian genocide and uncover post-colonial structures. With this project, we want to direct the public discourse towards the consequences and consequences of post-colonial structures in order to promote general sensitivity. The aim of the workshop is to critically examine
of German colonial history .
Schwarze muslimische Räume
Neben einem anti-Schwarzen Rassismus ist auch der Antimuslimische Rassismus gesellschaftliche Realität für Menschen in Deutschland. Soziale Ausgrenzungspraxen werden intersektional erlebt. Moscheegemeinden leisten mehr als nur religiöse Wissensvermittlung, sie übernehmen zudem überlebenswichtige soziale Aufgaben für ihre Mitglieder.

Rostock Jugendforum 2.0
So hat sich das Jugendforum St. Georg in den Herbstferien auf den Weg nach Rostock gemacht, um sich und die Stadt mit ihrer Vergangenheit und Gegenwart, näher kennenzulernen. Dabei bot die Unterkunft im Peter-Weiß-Haus und die pädagogische Begleitung durch den „Soziale.Bildung e.V.“ eine hervorragende Voraussetzung für Workshops, Stadtführungen und Diskussionen zu so herausfordernden Themen wie der...
Sommer Workshop
Die Serie an Workshops zielt darauf ab, die Jugendlichen beruflich, spirituell und gesundheitlich zu empowern. Unser Leitsatz in der Masjid Rahma ist jedes unserer Mitglieder auf Ihrem Lebensweg bestmöglich zu begleiten und unterstützen. Durch Maßnahmen wie Networking Events werden neue Kontakte geknüpft und Möglichkeiten geschaffen. Unsere Jugendlichen sollen sich persönlich entfalten und ein stärkeres Identitätsbewusstsein entwickeln.
Mädchengruppe
Ziel dieses Projekts ist es, dass die jüngere Generation der Mädchen aus der Masjid Rahma sich innerhalb und außerhalb der Gemeinde austauschen und deren Gemeinschaft stärken. Die Mädchen sollen sich mit anderen Mädchen aus anderen Vereinen oder Institutionen austauschen, sowohl interreligiös als auch interkulturell. Zudem soll den Mädchen die Möglichkeit gegeben werden, ihre eigenen Stärken und Schwächen zu kristallisieren und sich auf ihre weiteren Bildungsweg vorzubereiten. Außerdem sollen die Mädchen sich, im Laufe des Projektes, untereinander austauschen und sich besser kennenlernen. Wir bieten ebenfalls Einzelberatungen für die Mädels an, für jede Angelegenheit um Sie zu stärken und zu unterstützen.
Iftar-To-Go + Zuckerfest
Das islamische Zuckerfest (Eid al-Fitr) gehört zu den beiden großen Festen der Muslime. Mit ihm wird das Ende des Fastenmonats verbunden. Es ist wichtig, dass Kinder sowie Erwachsene diese Geschichte, ihre große Bedeutung und die Freude und Glückseligkeit an jenem Tag verstehen und ebenso verspüren. Daher möchten wir Geschenkpakete für die Kinder unserer Gemeinde bereitstellen.
Ghana Reise
Die interreligiöse und interkulturelle Gruppe wollte erkunden,
1. ob es in Ghana wie in weiten Teilen Westafrikas – mit der Ausnahme Nord-Nigerias – zwischen Christen (etwa 70%) und Muslimen (etwa 18%) tatsächlich keine nennenswerten Auseinandersetzungen, sondern ganz im Gegenteil ein gutes Einvernehmen gibt, wie oft berichtet;
2. worauf gute interreligiöse Beziehungen zurückzuführen wären;
3. und ob bzw. was von der ghanaischen Erfahrung für die Entwicklung und Gestaltung friedvoller Beziehungen im hiesigen Kontext zu lernen wäre.
