On June 4th, the Evangelical Lutheran parish of St. Georg-Borgefelde and the St. Georg residents' association organized the district festival on Hansaplatz.

In addition to a varied stage program, coffee, cake and German, African, Syrian, Turkish dishes, children's entertainment and street soccer facilities, this year, for the first time, the organizers provided entertainment for older citizens with a “market day of old delights”.

In addition, there was the opportunity to take part in guided tours to various institutions and mosques, to get to know the youth forum, to see stage performances, to receive information about the Ramadan pavilion and to get to know other projects of “Live Democracy!” In the district. With this varied offer, the festival in 2016 almost filled the entire Hanseplatz and was a great success that will hopefully be continued for a long time to come.

The event was financed by “Live Democracy! St.Georg-Borgfelde-Hamm ".
