The Quran is the central religious text of Islam and is considered by Muslims as a guide for life. Understanding its teachings and principles is vital for the spiritual and moral development of Muslims. There is a vibrant and diverse Muslim community in Hamburg that desires a deeper knowledge of the teachings of the Quran. For this reason, we propose the establishment of an Institute for Quranic Studies for adults (18 years and older) at Masjid Rahma in Hamburg. The Institute will serve as an educational platform where adults can engage in comprehensive Quranic studies to enhance their understanding, practice and dissemination of Islamic teachings.

curriculum and programs

Quran Arabic: Focus: understanding of the original text, grammar, vocabulary and syntax.

Tajweed (Quran recitation): Correct pronunciation and recitation of the Quran according to the rules of Tajweed.

Thematic Studies: Exploring critical themes in the Quran, such as justice, mercy, family life, ethics and law.

fee structure

The following fee structure is proposed to ensure the sustainability of the Institute of Quranic Studies at Masjid Rahma in Hamburg while keeping the courses accessible to the community. The fees will be nominal and are intended to cover operational costs, faculty salaries and resources while allowing for the inclusion of students from diverse economic backgrounds.
